WAVELENGTH PHANTOM RIG SETUP

A quick setup guide for the Wavelength rig setup.

Mast position is assumed to be at approximately 1000mm (1m) from the bow.
Mast rake 22ft 4ins, mast tip to top of transom for medium winds. Rake back for stronger breeze.
Spreader length 17ins
Spreader deflection 6-7ins
Rig tension 50-250lbs measured on the shroud, depending upon helm weight.
Lower shrouds just loose with lever on for medium winds; loosen for stronger winds, or better still, drop the mast rack back.

For a fuller view of Phantom tuning, see Andy Hay's article in the Phantom class newsletter.
